Emirati Rose Lemonade
This floral lemonade combines lemon juice and food-grade rosewater.

Preparation: 15 min · Cooking: 0 min · Total: 15 min · 4 servings
Ingredients
- 200 ml fresh lemon juice
- 20 ml food-grade rosewater
- 150 g granulated sugar
- 750 ml drinking water
- drinking-water ice cubes, to taste
- edible culinary rose petals, optional (optional)
Instructions
Prep Lemons & Petals
Use edible food-grade rosewater, not cosmetic fragrance or concentrated red rose syrup. Petals must be sold for eating, not florist roses; organic labelling does not make them sterile. The fixed recipe gives four glasses; dissolved sugar affects volume, so do not promise exactly 1 L or add unlisted top-up water. Juice fresh lemons until you yield exactly 200 ml. Wash the fresh organic culinary rose petals thoroughly under cold running water to clear field debris. (Washing clears surface dust but does not sanitize).
Dissolve Base
In a large clean glass pitcher, combine the 150 g fine sugar and 750 ml cold direct water. Stir vigorously for 1 to 2 minutes until the sugar crystals are fully dissolved into a transparent syrup base.
Check: Dissolve Base: 60 seconds
Aromatize
Pour the 200 ml of fresh lemon juice and 20 ml of pure rosewater into the sugar water. Stir thoroughly to integrate the aromatic citrus oils.
Chill & Serve
Drop clean rose petals and ice cubes directly into the pitcher. Serve ice cold. Keep unused portions covered securely in the refrigerator at or below 4°C and consume within 24 hours.
Cool and store
Keep the unused drink covered at or below 4°C and use within 24 hours. Serve cold with clean drinking-water ice; do not leave the pitcher standing warm.
Serve leftovers appropriately
Serve chilled; reheating is not part of this drink recipe. Discard drink left warm or improperly stored.
Tips
- Selected ingredient amounts govern scaling. Numbers in the method describe the base batch: multiply allocations and piece counts in the same ratio. Use appropriately sized pots or multiple comparable pans/batches; timers do not multiply and never guarantee readiness.
Common mistakes
- Do not treat surface colour, a timer or a dry appearance as a guarantee of safe cooking. Follow the specific centre, texture and temperature checks.
Substitutions
- Follow the approved master ingredients and quantities; changes may require different liquid amounts or cooking methods. Optional garnishes may be omitted.
Storage
Keep the unused drink covered at or below 4°C and use within 24 hours. Serve cold with clean drinking-water ice; do not leave the pitcher standing warm.
Reheating
Serve chilled; reheating is not part of this drink recipe. Discard drink left warm or improperly stored.
