  3. Start the wheat and chicken pot

Initial boil first check: 300 seconds

  4. Simmer and scrape regularly

Lower to a gentle simmer and check first after 2 hours, scraping/stirring the bottom carefully at intervals throughout cooking. 5. Check chicken core and soft wheat

Before shredding, probe the thickest chicken away from the pot: require 74°C. Wheat must be completely soft, not merely swollen. Continue gently with the bounded reserve as needed; if it is insufficient for the specified grain/cookware, reconcile before adding more. No promise that every grain skin vanishes.

  6. Shred and hand-mash carefully

Remove safely from direct heat to stable heatproof support. 8. Cool and store wheat porridge

Refrigerate shallow leftovers promptly within 2 hours, or 1 hour above 32°C, at 4°C or colder for at most 2 days or an earlier component deadline. Do not cool the whole heavy lidded pot. Reheat only once to 74°C throughout. This is wheat porridge, not the rice-specific 24-hour rule.
